Founded in 1961 as a small machine shop by Bernarr C. Schaeffer, Usheco, Inc. was initially known as a U.S. Health Equipment Co. and manufactured metal component parts. As the need for a local plastic molder became evident, Bernarr ventured into the plastics industry.
Bernarr C. Schaeffer, CEO, and his son Wayne Shaeffer, President, relocated Usheco, Inc. to its present site in 1998; consolidating two smaller, separate locations in Ulster County.
Usheco, Inc. continues to manufacture custom molded plastic parts. Through the processes of injection molding, thermoforming, line bending, and CNC routing, Usheco, Inc. provides a wide variety of parts to customers in various industries such as handicapped equipment, medical equipment, refrigeration systems, laboratory equipment, the aeronautics industry, and the gaming industry.
